UKCAPSA Trainer and Assessor, Paul Browett Talks about his Celebrant Journey

Paul Browett,
AKA The Scottish Celebrant
(Based in Paisley, Scotland)

Becoming a Celebrant was a natural step for me, as my background in business management has always involved working closely with others, motivating and inspiring people, and celebrating their achievements.

Much of my career has also involved public speaking and training many individuals in their chosen sector.

However, it was after being asked to speak at the funeral of my twin sister and to share her life story in such a memorable way, that many people encouraged me to pursue a career in becoming a Celebrant.

Being a Celebrant allows me to continue to do what I love most; to meet amazing people, hear all about their life experiences, and to have the privilege to share their story with the people that they love most.

I am a huge believer in celebrating life events in such a unique and personal way. No two people are the same, therefore, no two ceremonies should be.

Becoming a Trainer and Assessor with UKCAPSA was the next logical step in my celebrant career. Meeting inspiring new celebrants is exciting and I thoroughly enjoy utilising my training and mentoring skills to take each one through the diploma.
